Setup
One very important aspect to Home PC Recording is you own setup/configuration. This will vary from person to person, and each different setup type can vastly effect your recordings sound quality. Basically, the better your setup, the better your results will be.
Throughout the following pages, I'm going to take you through the various "Stages" of my own "Recording Setups". This section of the site is mostly focused at people like me who do not have the money to go out and buy lots of expensive home recording equipment.
Now, before attempting anything mentioned on the following pages, be sure to READ everything. If you do not fully understand, or are not comfortable with what I've said, DON'T TRY IT.
Also, it should be noted that not every PC works the same. One computer may run any given program without any problems, but a similar computer may not. Therefore, just because it works for me, does NOT mean it WILL work for you.
The very first page you should visit, and get familiar with before attempting any of the following suggestions, is the Volume Setup page. This will help you get familiar with the Volume Controls of your computer, and avoid damaging your system.
